Referrals

Our office is a major source for area-wide information and serves as a vital “open door” to the public.  Only Chamber members are referred when prospective customers, clients, tourists, and businesses call on the Camdenton Area Chamber.

Networking

The Chamber provides its members an opportunity to network with other members at monthly events including “Business After Hours” socials, quarterly breakfasts, annual dinner, and special events.

Educational Opportunities

Informative seminars, workshops, and counseling services are co-sponsored by the Chamber and are offered on a regular basis to help you run your business more effectively.

Communications

A monthly newsletter and other communiqués help keep you informed on issues that have a direct impact on your business.  Advertising opportunities are also available.

Members are encouraged to submit a 350 to 500 word article about their business periodically to be included in the Chamber’s newsletter.  The newsletter is distributed as an insert in the Lake Sun Leader on or about the first of each month and is sent to approximately 6,000 subscribers.  Newsletters are also available at the Chamber office and at the Chamber web site.

Members receive a courtesy listing in our annual relocation magazine [March] and in an annual report as a pull out tab in the Lake Sun newspaper [November].  New members are listed in the next available Chamber newsletter and in the Member Directory sent to all new members, renewing members and available to the public at the Chamber Web site..

Web

The Chamber maintains an award winning Web site at www.CamdentonChamber.com.  Thousands of people visit the site each month to find out about events in the community, demographic information, Chamber functions, and much more.  On the “Member Information” tab, visitors can download a current Chamber membership Directory.  In addition, members are listed both alphabetically and by category with their URL address—this link is a free service to our members.

Money Saving Opportunities

Members receive a significant booth discount at the annual Products and Services Show.  Members receive a discount on the Dogwood Festival Parade and booth rentals for the Dogwood Festival.  Members also receive a 5-15% discount on products and services from members participating in our Shop the Chamber program [call if you would like to offer a discount].

Community Service

The Chamber offers its members an opportunity to get involved in making the Camdenton and Lake area a better place to live.  Several productive committees enable you to have an active role in the growth and progress, and development of the area.

New Member Benefits

Ribbon Cuttings

New members or members who have significantly remodeled their business may request a free ribbon cutting.  We arrange for a photo opportunity and then submit the photo and caption to the area newspapers for a courtesy insert.  New members are responsible for contacting the Chamber to set up a date for the ribbon cutting.  The ribbon cutting needs to be conducted within 3 months of joining the Chamber.

New members receive a 1/8 page ad [or two 1/16 page ads] as a courtesy from the Lake Sun daily newspaper [a $135 value].  Depending on the time of year [September through April], new members receive 15 free radio spots from KRMS to promote their business [a $255 value].
